Are you newbie in the blogging industry and you a bit kind of confuse on which platform you should settle with your blog? Worry no more as i am here to show the differences between these two platforms, wordpress and blogger (Blogspot).
What is a WordPress?
According to Wikipedia; WordPress is a free and open-source content management system written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. Features include a plugin architecture and a template system, referred to within WordPress as Themes
What is Blogger (Blogspot)?
According to Wikipedia; Blogger is an American blog-publishing service that allows multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. It was developed by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The blogs are hosted by Google and generally accessed from a subdomain of blogspot.com
From the definition above you know the difference is very very clear and more reasons why you should choose wordpress instead of blogspot. wordpress is more flexible than blogspot.
WordPress vs Blogger
- WordPress is a free and open-source content management system WHILE Blogspot its not an open source, You are being restricted
- WordPress uses database and MySQL WHILE Blogspot is being hosted by Google themselves
- Even though blogspot is free, but they are being accessed from a subdomain of blogspot.com
- With wordpress, you have full authority of your site, how you design it and post on it. It does not come with a subdomain just as blogspot. You can install all plugins you need for your design and play around them.
